Origin OS 6 is based on Android 16.

Although iQOO phones are currently running on Funtouch OS 15 (Android 15), this new update will be available soon.

iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya officially announced this on Twitter.

Premium smartphones will get this update first.

Later, it will also come to mid-range & budget models.

Similar experience to China in India

Vivo & iQOO phones are already running on Origin OS in China. Now, the same experience is going to be provided to users in India as well.

Recently, the official account name of Funtouch OS India has also been changed to OriginOS (@FuntouchOS_IN). This clearly shows that this change is going to happen soon.

Launch date & new models

As Vivo has already announced, Origin OS 6 will be officially launched in China on October 10.

The upcoming flagship smartphones Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro will be directly launched in the market with this new OS.
